As Modern Principle prepares for Salone del Mobile, here's a look at the brands, exhibitions and products that we are excited to see next week.  

 

Stellar Works

Shanghai-based Stellar Works presents its first collaboration with David Rockwell, resulting in Valet, a collection inspired by the 1970s. The brand will also stage another exhibition across town, "Craft Industry", which will feature products from the brand's creative directors Neri&Hu, along with SPACE Cph and Yabu Pushelberg.

Lindsey Adelman

New pieces from the New York lighting designer will be shown once again at Nilufar Depot, the warehouse outpost of the gallery. On view will be Cherry Bomb Fringe, shown here, which captures a minimal opulence that incorporates hand-blown glass globes rolled in gold and wandering brass hardware.

Tom Dixon 

Collaborating with Caesarstone, Tom Dixon will stage a live working restaurant, where four monumental composite quartz kitchens will be used to chop, steam, char and freeze a radical menu created by Arabeschi di Latte. Each meal will be served in one of four dining halls in the Rotonda della Besana, an immense deconsecrated church in the heart of Milan situated in a peaceful cloistered garden.

WonderGlass

On view will be new work from Dan Yeffet, whose “Hollow” blown-glass lamp encapsulates light like never before and sculpts it as a basic element.

St. Louis

Historical French crystal manufacturer Saint-Louis is introducing the Arlequin lights, a genuine sets of color-building games inspired by the house classics. Chandeliers, sconces and candelabras illuminate interiors with a touch of playfulness.
